Well this week has not been the best... But it hasn't been the worst. So it turns out i'm not transfering. Elder Peterson and i are staying for another transfer. So that was kind of a downer at the beginning of the week. Not because i will be with Elder Peterson again, but more because i was ready to go to a new ward. I love the people in the ward. But i need a break. So the other thing that went wrong this week is that they are remodeling our church... which means we can't go to church there... So we have to go to bago city... Which is 2 kilometers further than our church is right now and already people are complaining that it is to far. We went from having 70-80 at church... to 40... It was kinda sad. I felt really bad. I had to stand up and talk. I knew every single person in the congretation by first AND last name. It was all the ACTIVE people. and one less active that we met on saturday told him to go to church on sunday, and he showed up. That was way cool. That was one of the successes of the week. But other than that there wasn't much else. none of our investigators came to church this week.. which was kind of a let down, and made not for a good sunday afternoon.. Oh and we are also going to church at 1pm now. That is really weird. We still have to get up at 6:30 but thats not a big deal. Its just weird having church so late in the afternoon. Nobody wants to come.
The funny event of the week is with one of our investigators. Brother Nemenzo. He is new and we just started teaching him... THe first lesson last sunday he told us that he was surprised by us... he believed in god... but not two Americans speaking fluent Illongo. It was one of the funniest things i've heard. Then he spent the night talking about how he believed us and he wanted to know more. He wanted deeper answers like why his pillow was green and why the lizards can walk on the ceiling without falling off.I laughed pretty hard at that one. So we set a time to come back the following sunday again. We stopped by his house on saturday, to remind him just about church. Not planning on teaching. But he told us to come in. When we went in he lectured us and told us that he like americans because they always stuck to the schedule, but we had turned philippino thinking we could show up whenever we wanted. We tried to explain that we had just wanted to drop by to invite him to church. BUt he wouldn't listen. Then we got into a discussion about the book of mormon. He thinks mormon translated it to english. But he really is funny. Then last night. After he talked for 30 minutes without us saying a word, he claimed to be a good listener. I had to stop my self from laughing during the lesson. He is not a very good listener. He just likes to talk. Haha.
