Abaw 6-3-11

Hey Everyone!
Well its been another long week, in the hot humid and wettest place i have every lived. For those of you who did read last week's email i'm still in the same place. Just working here in Calumangan ward. Our work is going easier though. Now that we actually have a bishop! He is a way awesome guy. Bishop Joey Valdefiaso. He is one of the best bishop's i have worked with on my mission. I think its because he is so new! Most of the time when you have a bishop they have been bishop for 5 years, and have been bishops in other wards, so they are not willing to change anything and are to stuck in the old "Traditions of their Fathers". But since this guy is so new he is taking everyone of my suggestions and trying it! Its working. We are going to start having Priesthood Corolation every sunday, and Ward Council, and we are starting to focus on giving people callings to keep them active. All things i have been suggesting for the last 4 and a half months but since we haven't had a bishop we couldn't really do much.. But now.. WE CAN! We had the best "Missionary Cordination Meeting" Last night. Our Ward Mission Leader was there, and also our bishop. Usually it was just the first Councilor. And since our ward mission leader is less active. He has never been there. So it was a way good meeting. we talked about how we can better help the ward. We have alot of things we are going to be putting into action. Its still going to be a slow process, and i probably won't be here to see the end of it. But i'm glad i got to be here and take part in this! Other than that this week it was just a normal week. We had 5 investigators at church this week. The Abkilan family came again which is exciting. We taught fasting to them on monday and invited them to fast for fast sunday... I didn't expect them to remember but they did! They even paid their tithing and their not even members yet. I wish some of the members here would pay. Their teachings are going great. We are about ready for them to be baptized. so in about 3 weeks. I will send some pictures. Other than that not much happened this week. We did alot of walking. We got new cell phones... which i'm not happy about.. The ones we had before cost 1 peso per text or you could pay 60 peso's and get unlimited texing for 5 days. Which i did, cause i text the members to set up appointments all the time. Well these new ones you get 300 peso's a month and you can't add more. and then you get do unlimited. So now i'm limited to 300 texts a months. Its goona be tough to corolate through text now... but i understand why they did it. President tobias can now read every text we send if we use this new style so its kind of one of those things to keep track of disobediance. Oh well. We will get over it. Well i guess i will let you go for the week!
