Hey Everyone!
I hope this email finds you all safe and sound and that everything is going okay for you all. Not much is really going on here. we are just continuing in the proclaiming of the everlasting gospel to all the ends of the earth. (3Nephi11:41) Its alot of fun out here in my new area. Its Called Bata and i really love the members. They call my Companion Elder Spots (his name is POTTS) its pretty funny. My companion is getting better and better everyday. Soon he will be able to teach everything and then i can just get lazy... Ya.... That will be the day. But so this last week not much happened... I did get a package today though!! (Thanks Mom) and a letter from my brother Zach, i was way excited to read it. I miss him haha. Anyways, So this week we taught a bunch of lessons to this one kid who is actually reading the book of mormon. He can ask all my questions when i ask and then he even showed up at church!!!! So last night (Sunday) we gave him a Baptismal Date!!! He will be baptized on December 18. Its way exciting. We also did what is called a half day mission on saturday. Its where all the members come and work with us for half a day. We got 20 referals. It was great. We have alot to get done this week. So we are working on getting a huge map for our area so that we can mark where all the areas are and where all the members live... Its proving to be very difficult because most of the people living here a squaters... (people who just moved in randomly and built a house somewhere... But i guess thats okay... they are all way nice people.
Anyways, For this weeks email i decided to let you know what you can and can't send in packages.... first we will start with the don't's.... Don't send: Shirts, pants, or roman noodles... okay now that i have that out of my system here is what you can send. Candy, Cool things, SOCKS!!! (black like the gold toe kind) money (just have my parents put it in my account and then tell me how much... or the most important.... PICTURES AND LETTERS!!! i love them they are my favorite =) i have an album set up for things like pictures i recieve from home. Its way cool =) but that is what i would like for christmas. But just refrain from sending roman noodles. I have noodles here i can buy for 7 pesos. But i always love getting lots of ties.. haha.. its the only thing in my wardrobe that can change. (and don't send belts, i have plenty) Anyways... I think that is all on the package business. But all in all just send more letters. I love hearing from my family. especially trying to read what you have hand written =)
Well thats about it for this week. not much has been going on... just surviving the heat and the rain. I have some leadership trainings this week so that should be fun. i hopefully have an interview with president as well. anyways. I love you all and can't wait to talk to you in a couple of weeks. can you believe its almost been a whole year since i have seen some of you =) wow time flys when you are serving the lord. Well, just remember that i love you all and that i hope you are doing well =)
